Persecuted Jehovah’s Witness

This single office worker was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1924. During the ban on the religious community under the Nazi regime, she made her apartment available for Bible study groups, subscribed to publications of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and participated in the distribution of protest flyers in Schwabing on December 12, 1936. Franziska Reller was arrested and sentenced on June 15, 1937 by the Munich Special Court to five months in prison. This resident of Schwabing outlived the Third Reich and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness community in Schwabing until her death.
