Paul-Moritz Rabe

Head of Research / Neuaubing Memorial Site

Paul-Moritz Rabe is Head of Research & Publications and of the new memorial site currently being created at the former forced labor camp Neuaubing. He develops concepts for exhibitions, events, outreach, and publication projects. His special fields are administrative, financial, and municipal history as well as public history and theory of history.

Kirstin Frieden

Press and Public Relations

Kirstin Frieden is director of the Communications and Program departments. Alongside her function as press spokesperson she is also responsible for the Munich Documentation Center’s corporate identity and for all general printed matter such as flyers, posters, and the annual report as well as marketing. She is also involved in program planning.

Ulla-Britta Vollhardt

Curator

The historian Ulla-Britta Vollhardt conceives and realizes exhibition projects, accompanying programs, and publications. She also contributes her scholarly expertise to the ongoing work of the Documentation Center. Her research focuses include the history of post-Nazi Germany, remembrance cultures, right-wing extremism, and LGBTQI+ history.

Dirk Riedel

Historical and Political Education

The historian Dirk Riedel develops educational and memorial projects with and for students, teachers, and multipliers. Networking with other memorial sites is another main focus of his work. He also maintains contacts with contemporary witnesses and looks after the educational side of the future memorial site at the former forced labor camp in Neuaubing.

Denis Heuring

Publications

Denis Heuring has a background in Romance languages and literature. His responsibilities encompass the conception and realization of analogue and digital publications as well as the organization of interdisciplinary conferences and events. His areas of expertise include transnational remembrance culture, literary theory, and media ethics.

Neuaubing Memorial Site

Kristina Tolok

Research / Neuaubing Memorial Site

The East European specialist Kristina Tolok joined the Munich Documentation Center as an intern and became a research assistant there in autumn 2022. She conducts research and contemporary witness projects on the subject of forced labor with special responsibility for the exhibition at the future Neuaubing Memorial Site.

Sandra Rogel

Intern

Sandra Rogel, a historian and literary scholar, began an internship at the Munich Documentation Center in October 2022. She is working mainly on the Neuaubing Memorial Site project, developing mediation formats, conducting research, and helping to develop an exhibition concept. She also assists with the Documentation Center’s collecting and public relations work.
